ARM announces the latest Cortex-A78 CPU and Mali-G78 GPU, which will be used in the next generation of flagship smartphones

On the morning of May 26, Eastern Time, ARM released its latest high-end CPU and GPU architectures, Cortex-A78 CPU and Mali-G78 GPU, which will be used in next-generation flagship smartphones in 2021 and beyond.

Cortex-A78 CPU performance increased by 20%
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 uses some customized ARM Cortex-A77 and Cortex-A55 designs for its Kryo 585 CPU, and Samsung's Exynos 990 uses Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 CPU cores and Mail-G77 GPUs.

ARM has also launched a new Cortex-X custom program for its partners to create its own dedicated Cortex CPU with ARM for specific purposes other than the Cortex-A78 in stock. The first of these chips is the ARM Cortex-X1, which ARM claims will provide 30%higher peak performance than the Cortex-A77.
The new GPU supports 24 cores and performance is increased by 25%
In addition, ARM also introduced the new mobile GPU Mali-G78, which supports up to 24 cores. ARM promises that it can increase its graphics performance by 25%compared to last year's Mali-G77.
